Copia filed for bankruptcy yesterday - December 1, 2008.

 While they have always struggles to breakeven, I believe it is an institution worth striving to keep alive in some form or another.  It is a credit to Robert Mondavi that the facility was even built.  The Oxbow area of Napa is just starting to come alive, I am not sure if that helps or hurts Copia - but it is worth finding out.

Robert Mondavi wines -

They weren't the first wines I had, sometimes they were the best wines.  But I always had respect for them.

As always - wine is about people and stories - and Mondavi had both.

The wine world has a lot to say Thank you to Robert Mondavi.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Drayton's Family Wines

Hunter Valley winemaker Trevor Drayton, described as an "icon" by colleagues, was one of two men killed in a huge explosion today that blew parts of a building 50 metres away and demolished 20 metres of brick wall.
